Alison spent 20 years working in the book trade in London, bracketed by NHS jobs, before moving to York. She was planning a quiet retirement but missed the buzz of working. She is an experienced administrator and enjoys the challenges of her part-time role. In her spare time, she tries to see as much opera, theatre and cinema as possible – and loves reading.
