We help out at a charity called ‘Hope For Food’ which supports both homeless people living on the streets of Bournemouth, and families vulnerably housed across Poole & Bournemouth.
Hope For Food provide life’s basic essentials on a day to day basis, by running soup kitchens which offer hot meals & hot drinks to anyone in need – these soup kitchens happen five nights a week – mainly at the Sacred Heart Church hall on Richmond Hill. Visitors not only can have a meal & a hot drink, but also have access to donated clothes, coats, bedding, footwear, socks, dog food & toiletries from the van, which we use to transport everything to and from the hall.
Hope For Food is run solely by its generous volunteers & completely funded by donations. The amazing cooks who prepare sandwiches as well as other food (at least 80 hot meals per night), buy the ingredients themselves, cook them in their own homes, and transport them to the soup kitchen.
To help support the amazing cause and our friends within the local community, we have donated six huge tubs of coffee alongside 2000 cups to support those who need it most!
