Property investment events
The London Property Developers’ Meet-Up
Where: The Globe, 43-47 Marylebone Road, London
When: March 4 (6.30pm-9.30pm)
Would suit: Landlords and property developers who are inexperienced at networking looking for a more casual way to meet fellow investors. This event has no speakers and even no entry fee. It’s a casual setting for real networking and connection-making.
The Property Investor Show
Where: ExCeL London, Royal Victoria Dock, 1 Western Gateway, London
When: April 3-4
Would suit: All property investors, from novices to large portfolio holders, particularly those interested in international property. The event will welcome around 7,000 visitors and is host to more than 180 exhibitors, so it’s a great option for landlords looking to find reliable suppliers and make solid contacts.
BPF National Residential Investment Conference
Where: DLA Piper, 160 Aldersgate St, Barbican, London EC1A 4HT
When: April 29 (9am-5.30pm)
Would suit: All landlords and investors interested in the future of the UK housing market. A whole host of guest speakers will be on hand at the BPF event to deliver their verdicts on everything from the current market, sustainability and issues facing residential property investors in the 2020s.
Homes UK 2020
Where: ExCeL London
When: November 25-26
Would suit: Landlords and property developers / investors want to connect with people from all over the UK property sector. The Homes UK event welcomes more than 6,000 people, 200 exhibitors and 350 speakers under one roof, covering everything from asset management, residential development, land and planning.
The East Midlands Property & Business Investment Expo
Where: East Midlands Conference Centre, University Park, Nottingham, NG7 2RJ
When: November 9 (9am-3.30pm)
Would suit: Landlords looking for great services to aid their portfolios. This is an event
where the focus on products and services. Hundreds of exhibitors will be offering services ranging from utility maintenance and surveying to banking, finance and project management. A must for landlords in the East Midlands.
Landlord networking events
The National Landlord Investment Show
Where: Olympia London, Hammersmith Road, Kensington, London W14 8UX
When: June 11 (8.30am-5pm)
Would suit: All landlords. One of the biggest property investment shows in the UK, The National Landlord Investment Show gives you the chance to meet suppliers and make business contacts in your investment area. There are also a host of guest speakers on all aspects of property investment at the event in West London, which has free admission.
The National Landlord Investment Show
Where: Manchester United FC, Old Trafford, Manchester, M16 0RA
When: October 8 (9am-3.30pm)
Would suit: All landlords. The National Landlord Investment Show is in Manchester for the seventh successive year in October. Around 20 speakers from all areas of the Private Rented Sector (PRS) will be providing amazing insights to North West landlords, while around 60 exhibitors will be on hand with great service offerings.
Rent 2 Rent Live
Where: Tower Hotel, Saint Katharine’s Way, London, E1W 1LD
When: March 10 (6.30pm-9.30pm)
Would suit: All landlords. Rent 2 Rent Live is a relatively new event on the London property scene, but one that offers a huge amount of networking and information crammed into three hours. Meet and connect with fellow investors, trades and suppliers and find out the very latest about lettings legislation from guest speakers.
Property Investors Network (pin) Meeting
Where: Holiday Inn Bristol Filton, Filton Road, Bristol, Avon, BS16 1QX
When: March 11 (7pm-9pm)
Would suit: All Bristol-based landlords. The March meeting of pin would suit landlords with an interest in HMO investment. Guest speaker Mark McCorrie will outline how he built a portfolio of 25 HMO properties and how he manages them day-to-day.
The Reading Property Meet
Where: Grosvenor Casino Reading South, Rose Kiln Lane, Reading, RG2 0SN
When: February 28 (7.30pm-late)
Would suit: Reading landlords looking to make connections. The Reading Property Meet features a guest speaker every month and two sessions of networking. Hosted by investor Adam Vickers, the event has grown to more than 50 attendees each month.
The Winchester Property Meet-Up
Where: Mercure Winchester Wessex Hotel, Paternoster Row, Winchester, SO23 9LQ
When: May 21 (8pm-11pm)
Would suit: Landlords in Winchester and Hampshire. The Winchester Property Meet-up is a long-standing networking event in the Hampshire city, but has moved venues in recent months. Run by Jim Cooper and Leanne Wheeler of Liveable Joy Properties, the event is a great networking option for landlords.
