Energy Performance Certificates

All Size properties only £70+vat

From 1st October 2008 landlords offering property for rent will be required by law to provide prospective tenants with an Energy Performance Certificate for their property. You will need to obtain an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) for the property that you currently let. This will enable you and future tenants to see how energy efficient your property is and allow you to make enhancements to improve the rating of the properties energy performance and carbon emissions. A new certificate will not be required on each let since, in the case of rental properties, the Energy Performance Certificate will be valid for 10 years. With over a million private properties changing tenants every year the energy rating is likely to become a key issue in tenancy negotiations so landlords will be keen to make their properties as energy-efficient as possible before putting properties up for rent.
