Property Manager/Accounts Assistant

Martin & Co are looking for a well organised, dynamic and pro-active individual to join their already successful team as a Property Manager / Accounts Assistant. You will be a good communicator and be able to effectively manage a portfolio of managed properties and oversee the daily accounts. You will ideally have experience as a Property Manager, you will need to be competent in IT, work well within a busy team, have an excellent telephone manner and have your own car. Knowledge of Soulman is highly advantageous.

You will be required to:

· Prioritise workload

· Perform management visits

· Deal with general maintenance issues

· Organise the check in / check out procedure

· Notify utility companies of change of occupants

· Demonstrate high standards of professionalism

· Deal with complaints from landlords and tenants

· Keep the property management system updated

· Liaise with front of office staff to ensure smooth move in / move out process

· Negotiate with contractors for works to be carried out and liaise with landlords

· Manage the property diary system to ensure all reminders are completed on time

· Reconciliation

· Processing tenant application fees

· Making rental payments to Landlords

· Monitoring and chasing tenant arrears

· Receipting rents against tenant accounts

· Assist with the management of the office accounting system

· Process monies coming into and being paid against tenant accounts

· Management of contractor accounts and ensuring payment of invoices

· Processing tenant deposits and ensuring all are protected under relevant deposit scheme
