Bob, Claire and Sue Urwin have established Martin & Co Oxford after many years of property management and property letting in Oxford. During the last 3 decades the family have owned and run successful businesses as well as managing residential and commercial property, not only in Oxford, but throughout the UK. Since 1986, Martin & Co have developed a first class reputation as a highly professional and experienced company. Oxford Lettings Manager, Richard Goodwin and Property Manager, Annie Walsh, have both acquired years of experience in their own specialist roles.

Martin & Co Oxford win national lettings award
The Oxford office of UK-wide letting agents Martin & Co has scooped a Silver award for the Best Letting Agent in the Southern region at the Estate and Letting Agency Awards (or ESTAs) held in London on 8th April.
The prestigious award was presented to the owners of Martin & Co Oxford, Bob & Claire Urwin, by media personality and journalist Phil Spencer of Channel 4’s “Location, Location, Location”, who said “these awards are particularly special, and a true reflection on excellence in customer service as they are the only awards in the industry which are voted for by the landlords themselves. They are not easily won, and require a letting agent to achieve a consistently high level of service to their clients over a 12 month period.”
Phil added, “It’s fantastic to see agents getting the credit they deserve after all the negative press they receive. Throughout the property industry there is a constant need to improve customer service and these awards go a long way to help agents focus on keeping clients happy. He adds “After all, the most powerful marketing tool for agents is word of mouth, so customer satisfaction is key.”
On receiving the award, Claire Urwin said “it is a privilege to win such an award, and it is a tribute to the hard work, dedication, and passion of our staff, as well as the efficiency of the Martin & Co system, processes and support in place. I am especially pleased that it was our customers themselves who voted for us, which gives us the satisfaction of a job well done, and I’d like to thank all those who took the trouble to show their appreciation by taking part in the independent survey.”
Ian Wilson, managing director of Martin and Co, expressed his delight with the award and said, “this is our first entry in these awards, so this is a great achievement, especially as Martin & Co were also awarded “The Best Large Lettings Chain” nationally. I would personally like to congratulate the Oxford office on its outstanding effort, which fully deserves this prestigious accolade.

No strangers to awards success, Martin & Co also won Franchisor of the Year last November.

Oxford's Martin & Co is a national winner
The Oxford office of Martin & Co – the UK’s largest dedicated letting agency, has won the national award for ‘Best Brand Ambassador’ at the company’s 2009 awards ceremony.
The award, presented by Martin & Co founder and chairman, Richard Martin, celebrates the passion for results and customer service as demonstrated by the Oxford franchise owners. Father and daughter team Bob and Claire Urwin and their staff were honoured for exceptional growth of their business, to the benefit of landlords and tenants alike, whilst introducing a number of fresh, new, customer-focused ideas and embracing the Martin & Co brand.
Commenting on the award, Richard Martin said that Bob and Claire had not only achieved superb results for many landlords in Oxfordshire but had “instantly embraced everything that Martin & Co stands for – integrity, professionalism and straight-talking, good advice. Landlords and tenants alike clearly know where they stand and I have been really impressed with the positive feedback I have received”.
