New Survey reflects continued Lettings Boom!
New tenancy agreements have rocketed by nearly 20% in the last three months, new figures from the Association of Residential Letting Agents have revealed. In this quarterly survey of 453 of its members, ARLA found that the number of new tenancies increased from 32-38. The thriving private renting sector is said to have contributed to a rise in rental returns throughout the UK from 4.8% to 4.9% for houses and flats. The latest figures show that the country’s average rise in rents was 3% for houses and 7% for flats while the average rent in three months to the end of August was £387 a week for houses and £253 for flats.
